No more leaks!
3 of 3 found this helpful I installed the wear sleeve kit on my Dodge with 365K miles. The crank did not have a groove, but I could feel a slight imperfection and could see a polished area on it. I pressed the sleeve on with the harmonic damper. Just alternate between bolts until it seats flush with the crankshaft. I chose to use some thread locker under the sleeve to keep oil from seeping around it. Install seal to depth with the jig provided and install cover. Be sure to clean the crank with brake cleaner and do not oil the seal. It supposedly has a coating that spins on to the crank at the first startup. So far so good for me. No more leaks!

Nice cover
Just installed in November. I will leave it on until February or March and see how it holds up to the weather. I have used solid covers in the past, and hated to take it off with the swamp of leaves on top. Also I am using plugs for the skimmer and return this time so I don't have to lower the water level. So far so good.
