When Death Stalks the Highways. Pray He’s Out There ... Somewhere
Great open world game with the authentic feel of the Mad Max universe. The game is like a post apocalypse version of Grand Theft Auto, but the kicker is the Australian flavour. It’s awesome to here many, genuine Australian accents throughout the game (I’ve only ever heard two foreign actors nail it).
There are plenty of story mission to complete, but you can also explore on your own to increase your XP, and acquire the six precious items you need - Water, Food (Dog Food that was a genuine brand back in the day and maggots - yum), Fuel, Ammo, other vehicles (hijacked from the scum of the highways) and precious scrap, a must to upgrade your vehicle mechanically and cosmetically.
The hand to hand fighting is fun, with an array of weapons at your disposal. The game also requires some forethought and strategy in terms of recon of major targets and planning, in order for raids to be successful.
A great game, well worth the purchase. In this instance I got the game for under $30, when the Microsoft Store still wants nearly $100.
