Magellan 4250 Sat Nav
Nice system once it works - first unit was DOA and returned to seller. 2nd unit worked straight from box. I do not know whether this is inidcative or just bad luck on my part. This is our first GPS. The 4250 is simple to set up - screen is clear and easy to read. It also has voice commands but seems rather limited in options. The 4250 voice directions are great - really helps to navigate, and the tracking on the map of your position appears to be very accurate, it is a very impressive piece of technology. My wife loves it, thinks its the 'greatest thing since sliced bread'! The 4250 is preloaded with maps for Canada, the Lower 48, Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico. To enter an adresses/destination in e.g. Hawaii you need to set the region to Hawaii etc. Loading addresses is easy once you have the right map loaded. Enter by Zip, or City the Magellan reads ahead and highlight the keys for the next character for you to type. It will then present you with a pick list to select the city/state and then the road/street - nice and easy user interface.
