Sufficient for a hobbyist
1 of 1 found this helpful The *feel* of this saw isn't great. It feels fairly plasticky, etc. However, I was pleased with the first several cuts I made with this. I paired it with the Powertec tracks, and I used the included blade. It glided with surprising ease through 3/4" (18mm) plywood sheets. I also put it through about 1.25" (35mm) (not very dense) maple, and it struggled a bit more, but made it through with no serious struggles. This definitely seems like the right value for this saw, and I think it will meet all my needs as a hobbyist.
