An interesting and eye catching item.
This bento box is of a good quality styled in the traditional blossom upon a modern man made materiel. As someone who is a quaint to the traditional Japanese lifestyle. This box offers the best of both modern materiels which have a health and safety benifit whilst still capturing the Japanese traditions and lifestyle.
An overview of this box set: The set is of good quality. Its features of a sealable container within the box is a very good modern twist to a bento box promoting cleanliness and healthy living.
The chopsticks provided are short, which may be awkwatd for those with bigger hands but this as a whole is only a minor issue. The chopsticks themselves could be of better quality as some may not be carved straight. Although all this is minor issues as the box itself snd the chopstick container is the true centerpeice of this set. The lacker could be thicker over the artwork to prevent some rubbing yet this is still a minor issue. As a traditional true artisan made box would be much more expencive and would not include the sealable inner lid or double tier box.
The set as a whole is a good choice for those not familiar with bento or looking for a cheaper every day option and is an amazing first addition to a collection of Japanese homeware.
For the price and excellent presentation from box to table is eyecatching.
This is one for every day office or casual lunch in elegant style in the work lunch room.
A great recommendation for those wishing to experience Japanese culture.

Perfect
This looks nice and will go perfectly once the weather warms up. Wish it came with a cover though... but flat tops are cheap enough on ebay.

A professional opinion.
As a mechanic we find uses for both steel and nylon zip ties every single day. Everything from wiring harnesses to exaust systems and heat sheilding.
High end brands of ziptie tensioners can sell from anywhere between the prices of $80 to an exausting $300 Australian here.
So when I bourght this item it was supposed to be a fill in until I could afford something better.
Once the shipment came I was very suprised at the weight of the package as i expected it to be light and flimsey.
On the contrary, once I opened the package I was suprised that what I received was the exact same tool with the exact same opporation as the local stocks.
There were only 2 differences between them.
1. The local stocks have a brand name printed on them. And...
2. Rather than a welded or permanent pivot point. They use a nut and bolt piviot point.
Of which I prefer as this allows for minor ajustments of the piviot points strength and stiffness.
I believe this to be a very high quality product, and for its price point. You just wouldnt want to spend more on one of these tools for the same purpose. The only testing yet to be done will be the longevity test... which can only happen over time. But by the feel and weight of this tool... that wont be breaking any time soon.
This is quite excellent. AAA in my book.
