They said it was an open box item and it had been handled but not used. When I connected it there is a use history and clearly it had been used. However the seller immediately rectified the situation. Shipping was prompt and item was packaged nicely.

Seller couldn't confirm that propane detector had not been previously powered, but after receiving, it's apparent that wires hadn't been previously connected, so unlikely it's ever had 12VDC power applied. 5-year End of Life timing doesn't start until power is applied to device, so hopefully I'll get 5 years of service out of this unit. No problems or issues encountered. Excellent, A+++ eBayer!!
