The Unknown War
An excellent account of Britain's involvement (covertly and not so covertly) in military actions against the Bolsheviks during the Revolution and ensuing Civil War. From the Baltic to Eastern Siberia British agents and troops faced the emerging Red Army. The author does an excellent job in bringing this rather confusing period to life. Hitherto these campaigns and covert actions were covered only in long out of print books and forgotten memoirs.

Edwardian Crime Drama
An excellent BBC Television adaptation of the old E.W. Hornung (brother -in- law of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle) tales of upper class Jewel thief A. J. Raffles. Much more faithful to the original stories than previous big screen versions.

Another fine collection of English Folk Songs
An excellent compilation of folk ballads from England collected in the field. Rather than being performances of professional folk singers these singers are the real "McKie".
