Now one of my all time favourite movies.
Growing up in a surfside town, I found this a moving and heartfelt story. Simon Baker’s subtle direction and characterisation makes the movie live on inside you for days. It’s delightful. All of it. I felt like grabbing my nine-year-old surfer son and fleeing from the city so that he could experience a similar childhood. Thank you, thank you Simon Baker and Tim Winton.
