bang for the buck
this is a small humbucker that gos in the bridge part of a SSS strat it has a ohm reading of about 16 ohms which makes it really hot ,
when i received it it had a good wiring diagram with it as well as the wires were already tined with solder and the 2 wires that should be tied together in a single bridge with no coil taping were already soldered together
it took probably about 3 minutes to install once the strings were off it took longer to tune the new strings than it did to install ,
the treble and bass response is wonderful with this pickup and it makes the lead position of the 5 way switch no longer have that terrible 60 cycle hum known for single coils
use this pickup in a strat with a mesa boogie amp or a behringer v tone amp modeler to get a good punk sound , im sure it could be used for rock or jazz as well as it has a jazz type sound but most modern rock today uses jazz style guitars and pickups
my suggestion go out buy the cheapest strat sss with a thin neck you can get put a sticker on it and put this pickup in the bridge position set the amp
drive at 9 oclock , level at 12 oclock , the bass and mids at 12 oclock, and the treble at 1 oclock and rock

street application cam
while building a d16z6 i installed a comp cams 59300 it fit well and was easy to put in time with the stock camshaft gear ,i am uncertain if the camshaft is nitrated but it must broke in with comp cams break in oil additive , basically you would break anything in like this with zinc and phosphorus, but the difference in nitrated and un-nitrated is if you must use zinc always , i plan on using zinc always so it dosn't matter much to myself , the cam shows a lot of pep on lower rpm range and in to vtec
it seems like the best for a street application, where most of the time driving would not be wide open , while inspecting the cam i found some small imperfections they dont mean much but it seems like the cam was sand casted steal and there was a place or 2 where it was evident these small places were nothing that would effect the lobes or the function only something i noted about workmanship ,
so if your looking for a cam to build a d16z6 for a good street application , like your parts sand casted to perfection and like your power on the lower rpm range buy this cam
i also suggest you put a fart can exhaust on your honda so others can enjoy your cam from afar
