Tiny, and works perfectly
This allows you to install an mSATA SSD anywhere that you would normally install a SATA drive. There's only one minor shortcoming, but in every other respect this is a winner.
The build quality is excellent: it feels sturdy, the solder joints look sound, the components are well-aligned, the screw mounts are set flush with the board.
The components appear to be of good quality: the SATA connecter is a snug fit (which will reduce slippage), the screw mounts are nicely machined.
My testing with a few different SSDs and two different PCs showed no problems at all.
The only thing to be aware of is that there is no built-in means to secure the device in the drive bay. For most use cases, this should not be a problem, since the device is so small and light that it would take quite a significant impact to dislodge it from the SATA connector, thanks to the snug fit in the SATA port. If you're worried about this, or your computer is subject to vibration or impact, you might be able to adequately secure the device using some double-sided foam adhesive tape; if you do this, beware of poor quality adhesives.
Other than that minor issue, this is a fantastic device and a great price.

Great keyboard and mouse - note that it doesn't have a Unifying receiver
The keyboard has a good feel to it, and has proper full-size keyboard layout. The mouse is comfortable to hold, and feels about the right weight to me.
The power switches lack the green and red highlights that previous versions of this product have had, but that's not essential for the day-to-day operation of these devices.
One point worth noting: the product description claims that the supplied receiver is a Unifying receiver, but this is most definitely not the case. This is not an issue for my use case, but be aware in case you need compatibility with a Unifying receiver for some reason.

The ODD emulator is definitely this device's stand-out feature
I purchased this device so that I could throw away my collection of install discs and system rescue discs, and stop wasting money burning new DVDs every time one of my favourite Linux collection releases a new version.
I like the fact that you simply drop a bunch of ISO files in the "_iso" folder of the first partition, and this device recognises them and turns them into a menu of discs. This device even supports folders, so you can organise your ISO files in whatever way makes sense to you.
The keypad and display makes it easy to navigate the ISO images, and to switch modes between HDD, ODD, and HDD+ODD. Additionally, the display is back-lit, making it very easy to read.
I have installed an mSATA SSD using a very small mSATA-to-SATA adapter, which makes this a lightweight and quiet drive.
I have only two minor gripes: the backlight in the LCD display never turns off, and the supplied case does not include space for the USB cable. These are minor gripes, however, and do not detract from the usefulness of this device.
