Good book
1 of 1 found this helpful Very good story of Italy/Jews in WWII. A bit hard to follow at times, as there are many character and some go by more than one name. Overall reccomended.

Interesting and throught provoking!
This is an EXCELLENT sequel to The Sparrow. The only survivor of the original journey is tricked into returning Rakhat. When he arrives, he is surprised by the changes that have occured on the planet in his absence and he must acept his resonsibility for what he and the others set into motion on Rakhat.
You're missing out if you don't read this sequel!

One of my favorite books of all time!
1 of 1 found this helpful The year is 2019 and intelligent life is discovered on another planet. What should we do? The Jesuits decided to send a mission to explore the planet and find out more about those living there.
The book is written with two story lines side by side. One follows the original mission to Rakhat and the other follows the story of the only survivor of the mission once he returns to Earth.
This is definitely a thought provoking novel that is well worth your time to read. It will leave you wanting more and ready to read the sequel, Children of God.
