Worth playing, but isn't perfect.
I first discovered this game on Amazon while looking through other games. It instantly caught my eye because it reminded me of Ico, which has always been one of my all-time favourite games. I'm constantly looking for games similar to Ico, so when I saw this I knew I had to give it a try. If you're a fan of Ico I'm sure you will notice, as did I, several similarities throughout the gameplay. For example; the boy is stuck in the tower much as Ico was trapped in the castle. You also fight shadows, just like Ico. That being said, I had a lot of fun with this game. It takes a level or two to get used to looking at the shadows instead of the physical objects. I died a few times in the beginning forgetting I couldn't step into the physical world. Once I got the hang of it, however, I enjoyed it very much. As much as I enjoyed the game though, I find it was still a bit lacking. I found myself wanting more out of it as I progressed through the levels, but I was never rewarded. The ending added to this disappointment. After feeling triumphant and like you accomplished so much, the ending just waltzes in and slaps you smack in the face, leaving you with the feeling that you did everything for naught. Perhaps in my mind I'm comparing it too much to Ico, which it could never live up to, and that's why I'm being so harsh. For what it's worth though, I still think it was an enjoyable game, but it had so much potential to be better. I still would recommend it to anyone who enjoys puzzle or platformer games though, because it is an interesting concept.

Everyone should play this game! It's so much fun and it's a classic.
Klonoa has always been one of my favourite games, so when I saw it was remade for the Wii I had to buy it. Same great game, but with updated graphics. I love how you are able to replay levels unlike in the original game. I also liked the addition of alternate outfits for Klonoa and the character viewer. Not to mention the fact you have an option on which controller you use to play the game. You can play with the Wiimote and Nunchuk, the Wiimote horizontally, the classic Wii controller or GameCube controller. My only disappointment with the game is the English voice overs, but fortunately you have the option to change that. I thought they were horrible. This may be because I'm so used to their Phantomile voices though. But, this is a minor detail and doesn't effect the gameplay at all, especially since you can change them. Overall, a wonderful game and I would recommend it to anyone. Klonoa was the game that started my obsession with video games, and thus will always have a special place in my heart. (:

Great buy for Okami lovers who want to experince the story again. (:
I decided to buy this because I played and loved the original Okami, as well as Okamiden for the DS. Everything I loved about the original I still love in the Wii version; such as the music and artwork. However, I find drawing with the Wiimote to be a little difficult. I personally think it was smoother on the PS2 version. This isn't a big enough issue to cause me to not enjoy playing the game though. And I find the more you play the easier it becomes to use. Overall, it is almost just as wonderful a game as the original. (:
