Had to have it!
This is one of those little parts that you absolutely have to have... It keep the bearings in line. If you lose it (during service of the hub), you have to find one! :-)

XT Cassette
I normally run single speed, but there is the occasional ride that I will use a geared bike. The SRAM cassette I had been using was heavy, clunky, and more expensive. Like other XT level components, this was an upgrade. Well machined, lighter, and smoother shifting than its SRAM counterpart.
