Great Smoke Detectors.......But DON'T forget the base, sold separately.
These smoke detectors are quite attractive, without looking too unsightly, on the ceiling.
A reassuring green light comes on, when they are energized, and the lithium rechargeable battery, is sealed into the unit, and does not require further attention, from the installer, or homeowner, for the life span of the smoke detector.
This is the most critical part of my review, not mentioned on the Smoke detector box, you will need to purchase a separate base, to facilitate the connections, this will also give you depth of clearance, for the connection block, otherwise you will need to take a chunk out the ceiling (any holes should be re-filled, as they create a chimney affect, for the fire to pass through, and spread).
Without the base, connecting up the units becomes fidgety, messy, and time consuming, but the base eliminates all that hassle.
I purchased 3 smoke detectors (KF420R) to install for a client, I completely negated to purchase the base, fortunately, the client had existing Kidde smoke alarms, and I "re-purposed", the existing bases, for the job, fortunately the client didn't mind the older, slightly yellowing base, against the new white smoke detectors.
The bases are compatible, with many Kidde smoke detectors, they are called: "Kidde SMK4896 Surface Mounting Pattress Plate", or something very similar, and you'll be very pleased with your purchase

Sky shotgun repair/extension kit
thoughtfully put together repair Kit, to extend/repair sky shotgun cable.
Consisting of 4 F connectors and 2 barrel connectors, which is more than enough to repair/extent the cable, this kit saves you buying multiples of the same connectors, which you may never need, or use, unless you are an installer.
It is very easy to install, no special tools required, a sharp knife and a pair of side cutters. failing that, a sharp kitchen knife, and a pair of scissors will do the same trick.
Once the cables have been terminated (videos can be found on YouTube), just twist on the F connectors, making sure the woven copper shield does not come into contact with the copper core, and voila, job done, a satisfactory felling, knowing that you have done a nice job, and money saved.

ARITA DVD+R DL Discs - "All Write", and Excellent.
ARITA DVD+R DL discs, are a first class product, I have had no issues with these discs. The underside, where the data is written, is a reassuringly, rich dark purple, in colour (in the past, the dark purple dye was synonymous with high quality organic dyes, but may differ now, as disc technology has progressed, in 20 years ago).
The "burnt" disc has a fine contrast between written parts, which becomes slightly lighter, in comparison with the unwritten part, which remains, a darker shade of purple.
For best results, burn the DVD, at a steady speed (I always burn it one speed less, than the recommended speed), and don't cram too much information on to the discs, thereby guaranteeing perfect results.
ARITA are a famous brand, belonging to the legendry Ritek corporation, of Taiwan, who have in their stables, other brands, such as TRAXDATA , Ridata, Imation, and RITEK storage media, to name but a few, so if you have not heard of ARITA, please, don't confuse them with cheaper, or unknown brands, and buy with confidence.
I recently found some ARITA DVDs, I had purchased 20 years ago, and "burnt" those, producing A1 results, even after all these years, in storage.
In conclusion, great discs, at a great price, compared to similar discs, from the same stables, and I have always liked the designs of their tops, very attractive, these ARITA DVD+R DL discs, that I have purchased, are a bright pink.
A highly recommended product, I will definitely source again, when required.
