Under reads actual pressure
1 of 1 found this helpful I chose this BP monitor because it was highly recommended by CHOICE and I purchased it for convenience. However its readings are generally10 to 15 mm/hg below the readings taken with manual Sphygmomanometer and Stethoscope. I am am 82 years old and have had hypertension for many years and it could be that my brachial artery has become hardened and is maybe responsible for the reading error. I just don't know the reason, but I will just have to stick with the old method.
