The battery, while bulkier than the 18V ...
The battery, while bulkier than the 18V version, holds more oomph per charge and the tools (such as the 6 1/2 inch saw) driven by this one, just rip, compared to the 18V. The charger is obnoxiously noisy, but, I guess, that's the fans keeping the battery healthy and cool while charging.
