Don't buy it -- Not worth the money.
Gilbert uses foul language throughout the book, including in her chapter titles. I felt that the first third of the book she was rambling, trying to work through her reasons for doing things she did with no clear structure. Gradually, the book seemed to become more in order. I recommend saving your money. Not that well written. She seemed to need to let us know every famous person she was ever in the same building with and everyone she slept with. I could have done without those details.

Not a movie for children
This movie has some great visuals of the plagues and the parting of the Red Sea. It takes lots of liberties with the scripture on the story line. The music tends to be intense and suspenseful much of the time. My daughter found it stressful to listen to. The graffic nature of killings in the desert make this NOT a movie for young children. Takes a "we must do it ourselves without God doing it for us" attitude in the war with enemies that is definitely not the way the scripture is. They wander around not knowing where they are suppose to go next like God isn't leading Moses, he was suppose to figure it out. No pillar of cloud and fire to lead them after they passed the Red Sea.

Fun for all ages!
I enjoy playing with my 3 year old grandson. Sometimes he wins. Sometimes I win. It's not as easy as it looks, but kids can excel at it, too. Easy for a nursing mom to play with her toddler. Compact. I love it.
