A High Def must have for any Foo Fighter fan!
The solid track list and legendary special guests make this Blu-ray an instant classic. The track list contains songs from their latest album like 'The Pretender' and 'Long Road to Ruin', songs featured in their recent acoustic tour like Skin and Bones' and 'Marigold' (from the Nirvana years), and favorites from "The Colour and the Shape" like 'Everlong', 'My Hero', 'Monkey Wrench', and 'Breakout'. Grohl's vocals on 'Ramble On' are stellar. There isn't a weak track on the disc (not difficult considering the Foo Fighters catalog doesn't contain very many weak tracks). A couple favorites from the self-titled album were missed, but the quality of the rest of the tracks is impressive. I have earlier Foo Fighter concert DVDs like "Everywhere But Home" and "Skin and Bones", but the opportunity to view the band in high definition made this documentary special. The video quality is impressive and you can really see the definition the band, the set, and of the faces in the crowd. I remember "Everywhere But Home" containing more jittery editing and a more blurry image. I didn't feel this way about this video. With a capable 5.1 audio system, the sound on this disc is a treat. The uncompressed 5.1 channel PCM soundtrack is included to let you experience full audio quality. Also included are 5.1 Dolby Digital (compressed) tracks and 2 channel PCM. Do yourself a favor and pick up this Blu-ray. If you thought you had a fever for some cowbell, wait until you hear the triangle solo...
