better than the new version
1 of 1 found this helpful This older version with the protective blue cloth wrap lasts twice as long as the new one without the wrap. Both need daily rinsing to prolong their life of function.

Change is not always progress
These questions do not apply to this product. This new version of the HC-14N filter is without the blue protective cover of the previous model. This results in the much quicker degrading of the filter especially at the glue line and the material is very soft and easily disrupted. Don't like it a bit. Honeywell should go back to the model with the blue protective covering.
