Small instrument, but HEAVY ! ! ! ! !
A lot heavier than I was expecting. The strings were rattling against the frets. Pulled them off,and put a set of flatwounds on it. Larger gauge, but it stopped the rattle.
The weight is the prime "con" with me. Had I known that the bass was as heavy as it is, I would not have bought it.

Unbelievable Sustain ! ! !
These strings do have unbelievable sustain for being a tapewound string. I guess being a roundwound string is the reason as I was expecting more of a thud than a ring or sustain.
Being a "dumb old country boy", I thought all tapewound strings were flatwound. Did not realize that they came in round and flatwound, but that's what you get for being "old and dumb".
Anyway, still great strings for the money, and would highly recommend them.

What More Could You Ask For???
The most beautiful bass you would ever want to see. The sound is great. All the electronics seem to be top shelf. The guys in the band that I play in, say it is the best sounding bass that I have. I believe at last count, I had 10.
