no remorse look
I was looking for a face that could pass for a serious bodyguard for my Dragon lady and this was the best I saw. The look is somewhere between anger and constipation so the uses for this head are many. The neck i a little stiff and the color is a little too orange. I am saving him until I find the perfect 1940 clothes. for him. This is a good buy if you need someone in the background who stands out on his own.

Size does make a difference.
As model ships go, this is one I have never done as I have only done 4 ships in this scale in my youth and am getting back into the smaller model/diorama field again after 40 years absence. I mostly did armor and aircraft in my youth but the size of this ship makes dioramas easy because my normal hobby was building in 1/6 scale for the last 10 years and the cost is so much better and cheaper in 1/700 scale. Plus I made scratch built furniture for doll houses and the room that took up was massive. You can put 6 or more of this scale on one shelf. At 63, I feel the need to change my scale but not my hobby.

Costume is the catch phrase to look for.
This is more a good book for stage or play but not Renn. fairs or Society of Creative Anachronism events due to the designs and costume effects, and some of the designs would truely get you very strange looks and maybe even arrested for indecent exposure in some small towns. The pictures and drawings are good but as to whether some one was wearing tights is not pictured well. As for period garb, I found the designs for 15th and 16th century men's garb to be costumes only, as I studied this time line and found so many more designs in other books on the market. I had no problem with the women's garb but my wife was not impressed by what she saw. We are members of the S.C.A., and I would not use this as a garb book!
