Raion Power 12V 5Ah T2 F2 Battery For ExpertPower EXP1250 - 8 Pack
04 March 2020
Reasonably priced power
For good measure I replace the batteries every 5-6 years in 12-15 UPS devices that provide power and surge protection to computers and other components in office and SFWR development systems. They all get used several times a year to provide backup power when there's a power failure, and provide peace of mind in between.

PRESONUS FIRESTUDIO FIRE STUDIO PROJECT FIREWIRE AUDIO INTERFACE
27 October 2015
Works great with GarageBand too!
I bought the Firestudio to replace a mixer with Firewire interface from Phonic that had died. The Phonic mixer had already been replaced once right after I bought it, and after a few years the Firewire quit working. It had always worked unreliably from the get go in that in didn't always connect, and Phonic simply service does not exist. When it quits, it's no longer of any value. Anyway, got a great deal on this Presonus Firestudio Project and was hopeful that it would work with my GarageBand software running under Snow Leopard, and I have to tell ya, it works great, and it sounds great too!. I didn't use the "front end" processing provided by the Phonic mixer, preferring to record tracks dry, without tweaking of anything, and that's just what this does. I especially like the form factor, the record level indicators for each input, the headphone output, and all of the I/O on the rear panel. And it cost about 1/3 to 1/4th that of the Phonic. No, I don't work for Presonus and I also don't normally write reviews, unless it's just quickly marking check boxes.
