Highly Recommended
This is one of three Halbe statuettes I've bought and I'm delighted with each. I've seen other brands where Mozart looks more like George Washington, but the Halbes will compare very well to any photo or painting out there. For the price of an over-sugared latte you can have the spirit of a great composer on your piano. Chopin is next!

Battleship Potemkin-A true cinematic masterpiece
Little known to the modern American film fan, BATTLESHIP POTEMKIN represents a revolution in film making. During the silent film era most directors simply aimed a camera and told an obvious story. In BATTLESHIP, director Serge Eisenstein literally bombards the viewer with dark symbolic montages, starkly emotional melodrama, and a real sense of rhythm and flow.
History shows us that there never really was a massacre on the Odessa Steps, so what was Eisenstein doing? He was making this entire period in Russian history more interesting, more compact, more comprehensive, and more REAL.
