Mechanical keyboard enthusiast, photographer, and Web developer. I have a lot of input devices that range from barely used to modestly used because I had career threatening RSI for a number of years and bought a lot of input devices I no longer need.

I owned this ball head for only a week when I inadvertently quality tested it while walking across the street. It was attached to a 2 pound heavy monopod at the time and slipped out of my bag and nose-dived straight into the asphalt. The plate locking mechanism took a direct hit. It's scuffed and dinged up, but the only thing hurt is its ego. It still opens and closes flawlessly with no hint of any damage being done.
If I had bought a cheap ball head, it would have been a goner. This baby is tough.

Bayonet Lens Hood for Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II replace HB-69

Fits well, but it breaks very easily.
It fits the 18-55mm VRII just fine and it fit well while it lasted. The plastic track is thin and brittle and it doesn't take a lot for a piece of it to snap. Once that happens, the rest of the inner rim will begin to crumble.
