Brilliant introduction to green woodworking
For anybody planning to begin, or already involved in, making chairs from green wood; this text is superb! Well written and appropriately illustrated, I wish I had purchased it earlier. I was vectored to this text from "Welsh Stick Chairs" by John Brown: also a great text on making chairs. Be prepared to become a convert and end up with shaving horse, drawknife, froe, and a collection of spokeshaves.

Windsor's Galore
This is not a "how to" book. It is a catalog of Windsor chairs with the author's evaluation of merit. The breadth of coverage is amazing. While the issue I purchased is a 1973 release; it is important to know that Nutting prepared the original in 1917. The photographs are all B&W and the chairs are all old; but what a collection.
