Exelent value.

This is as good as most name brand planes out of the box. As such it takes a bit of effort to true up the sole, but after buying several of them, I can say with confidence that most can be ready to use within 15 minutes - they are just that good.
The plane iron is a standard thickness and of adequate quality and hardness. It reaches a razor sharp polished edge with no problems.
The not so Good:
There is a fair amount of play in the adjustments, but not excessive. Given it is mostly a matter of production tolerances, I feel a bit disappointed as a craftsman since it would not effect the price to do better.

Good tools bad dealer
I hold Faithfull tools in high regard due to the low price to good quality relationship.
THis time I was pretty surpriced tho. I recived a used tool in a broken box. Someone had been grinding away on the plane iron and the sole had visible tracks after use. The toggles that keep the angle in the box was broken off and there was dust and shavings in the box. Not cool.

Bottom line - great quality rugged childrens ear phone!
I got these for my K2 classroom and they are great.
The sound is not HiFi, but average with no distortion and really good sound for speech.
What I like the most is the sturdy rugged design like a pair of industrial ear mufflers and that they can be adjusted for both 4 year old children and adults with no problems.
The plastic foam is again not what I would call High End but the same type that you find on ear mufflers. Sturdy and quite comfortable. They are replaceable if a child should gnaw on them :-)
The only thing I miss is a detachable plug on the hear phone it self that would function as a break away and make it easy to connect different lengths of audio cable to suit different applications.
