About As Good As One Can Expect
Yes, you may have to grind any rust off of your prop rod, where the rod contacts this clip, just to make sure that the rod's diameter isn't flexing this little clip too much. But, once you do that, if you're half way careful about snapping the rod into the clip, you shouldn't have any problems. And, if the clip does break, it's cheap to replace.

Performs As Adverised!
This was the second time I ordered this light. The first one fell from my handlebar because it was not high enough up on the thicker part of the drop on my road bike. This particular mirror not only comes with a second mirror but also is more rigidly built at the hinges than my first one (from a different company) which means the mirror won’t vibrate out of place.
