Excellent Sound
1 of 1 found this helpful I have the Gold disc remasters of this and Straight UP from the 90s, and they sound great, but this is remastered by the original guy...and sounds more "true" to the era. Very clean mix. Not too much added bass, just right. Highly recommended.

It Works!
1 of 1 found this helpful I am a long time player and gear nut. (45+ years) and I thought I would try this in the effects loop of my 80's Marshall Jubilee amp.
These are great, vintage voiced amps, with high gain in the preamp...Problem is, at low volume, they have a bit of "hair" or fizz on the notes.
Until you get the masters up past half (5 or 6).
I put this box in the effects loop, and left it about half way on the dial. Wow....I could turn up the preamp as loud as I wanted, and it sounded killer...no buzzy fuzzy. Period. Just fat tone and singing lead notes.
Since most modern Marshalls (that is all I have ) get all of their gain in the preamp, this box allows you to turn it up and back it down with the box.
Would be a great tool for recording nice tones at reasonable volume. Highly recommended.

NOS JBL Recone Kit
Original kits are always best...this has been shown in tests, compared to the better aftermarket kits.
