Good protection and non-slip for an Active phone.
1 of 1 found this helpful The S8 Active is a pretty rugged phone. But it is still very slippery, especially with cold, dry hands. This case provides just enough rubbery plastic (TPU) to make it easier to hold onto. It also provides a bit of extra protection, without making the phone too bulky (like an Otter Box type case). Just a note. The S8 Active has a shatter-proof screen, but it is by no means scratch-resistant. In fact, it scratches quite easily. Easier than any other phone that I have ever owned. Do yourself a favor and pair this case with a good screen protector.

Opto-isolated MOS FET for pennies
A simple, but effective circuit for both isolating, and switching, a decent amount of load. With a built in 1K resistor and indicator LED on the trigger, it can easily handle 5-12VDC as the control signal. There is no external heat sink, but a large circuit board trace helps. The IRF5305S can handle up to 30A at 10V. No schematic is provided, but I have reverse engineered one if anybody wants it.
