Read the book - see the movie

Having read the book some many years ago I managed to see the film version on TV. The book was good and the film was great. When I saw that the DVD was on sale through ebay I immediately made the purchase. I have watched it again and is it every bit as good as I remember the first viewing. Millenium is one of those novels/movies in which the reading of the book before seeing the movie has the benefit of adding depth to a movie by filling in some of the background and history to the story line. In some cases it also helps to make some of the scenes more understandable (opening scenes to 2001 A Space Odyssey being a good example). All-in-all the thoroughly good read and viewing.

Rome and the Arthur Legend

Having a long standing interest in all things Roman and the Arthurian legends I first bought this film some years ago but couldn't find it to view again so bought a new copy. Despite the various write-ups I found it great to watch, slightly out of kilter with main stream history but nevertheless good to watch again especially how it linked up with Vortigon and the Arthur legend - Will be watching it again
