Mixed opinion
The bag is nicely made, but the parts that should be leather are vinyl and therefore won't last under rigorous use!

Counter Invader
An extremely hard to find model these days! I wish they would re-issue this model since there is a great deal of interest in it. I was lucky and found one, and better yet at a reasonable price, to boot! I thank you, seller! You made me very happy after hunting down this kit for, like, the last 4 years!!!
It's an excellent model of a really cool looking plane in this modified Vietnam version which was modified for the US Air Force for mission specific counter-insurgency operations in Vietnam. It was probably the finest twin-engined bomber of WW2 but arrived too late in the European Theatre in the last months of the war to make much of an impact. But, it got a new lease on life a few years later and was employed avidly in the Korean War (1950-1953) partaking in lots of recon missions and interdiction. It was also used in it's original configuration in the Pay of Pigs invasion of Cuba (1961) disguised as "defecting" Cuban A.F. forces with Cuban AF markings. In the late 60's the CIA contracted with an engineering firm in Van Nuys, California to modify The A-26 Invader to include structural changes, for secret counter-insurgency operations in Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. No USAF roundels were applied but still maintained the common USAF 3-color camo scheme and tailcodes as the only identifiers that is was a US aircraft. The aircraft also some action in African brush wars like that in the Congo in the 1960's. Today some are still flying in the western United States as forest fire fighter aircraft.

fine landscape detail addition to a cow pasture - enhances the wargaming table
The model is beautiful in it's all wooden micro scale details. Assembled easy had it done in 15 minutes. Pieces fit with absolute precision and glued together with ease. Looks totally authentic complete with realistic textured "tarpaper" roofing material - just add a little fake straw to the crèche and voila set apart your pasture from any other with distinction. I want to buy a few more of them . . . really nice accessory.
