Great, but don't buy it used unless you have a valid CD Key!
***Beware to those that purchase a used copy(see below) Let it be said...the original Starcraft is my all-time favorite PC game, so this creates high expectations for the second game. I have played Starcraft 2 for a few hours offline and it is like playing Starcraft but with some upgrades to the game. This is a good and bad thing. This game will be just more Starcraft, but that is a good thing. I love the game, but it is like watching a sequel to an excellent movie. The second movie doesn't usually live up to the standards created by the first movie. This game isn't ground-breaking, but very, very good none-the-less. You owe it to yourself to play this game if you loved Starcraft or you like RTS games. ***Now the downside, at least for me. I bought the game used and if the gave was already activated on the Blizzard website you can't use the same CD Key (not even offline play). I had to play as a guest and my time ran out after a couple of short hours of play. :( Now I have to mail the CD case to Blizzard, so they can deactivate the old code and issue me another one. In my opinion this really sucks! With the original game all you needed was the CD Key on the case and you were good, at least I know it was for offline play. * I think the $59.99 original price point is a bit high even for this great game.

In my opinion, the best Genesis game!
During the 1990's I had a Sega Genesis and not a Super Nintendo. I played a lot of NHL 94 with friends, but the best single player Genesis game was Pirates Gold. What is better then being a pirate? This game has action, strategy, and Rpg elements and that is what seperates it from the other games. You can hack and slash or trade goods. You can choose to be allied with the French, English, Dutch or Spanish. You can choose different time periods. You can upgrade your ship, take over someone else's ship, or do both. I have the Xbox version and I still like this game better. Do yourself a favor and play this game..it is great old school fun.

Hornblower hits the target
Let me preface this review by saying I love historical fiction set during the Napoleonic wars. And let me say that I may be a little biased with my review. I have read all the Hornblower books, and they too are excellent fun. If you love well written and intelligent action movies you owe it to yourself to watch all the Hornblower movies. Ioan Gruffudd does a top-notch job playing Horatio Hornblower. Horatio is frail, and insecure, but also brave and brilliant. Horatio is complex unlike those one dimensional characters in those B quality action movies. The acting in this series is high quality; those Brits sure know how to act :) The production values are good, but not great which does not affect the stories too much. These movies are action movies, but they are character driven, so the smaller budget does not do too much harm. Disc 1, The Duel, you get introduced to Horatio at the beginning of his career and this is one of my favorites. I would give it 5 out of 5. Disc 2, The Fire Ships, has Horatio getting ready for his Lieutenants exam. I think this one is almost as good as disk 1, a 4 1/2 or 5 out of 5. Disc 3, The Duchess and the Devil, which I don't want to discuss because it may give away some of the plot, is very good. I would give it a 4 1/2. The fourth disc is the weakest. Horatio takes part in an invasion of France. I would give disk 4 3 1/2 stars out of 5. I just did not enjoy this DVD as much as the others. I have watched the whole series on DVD multiple times, there are 4 more disks to this series which are not included or reviewed here. I highly recommend buying all the Horatio Hornblower series. If you enjoy this series, I would also recommend the Sharpe's series with Sean Bean.
