Surprisingly Sweet & Engaging
Oddly, this series seems to promote itself mostly on the implied girl/girl pseudo-sexual relationship between the two main characters, Nene-kun and Clarion. Surprisingly, that really is the least engaging aspect of this series and doesn't really need it as a vehicle to promote itself. The characters are so well made and developed that you simply can't help but fall into the story and relationship. You find yourself rooting for the characters and the simple but heart-felt joy of Nene's wish to just be "together with Clara-rin". And when you experience this along with Nene-kun, you somehow feel even in this simplest of desires, you've reached the pinnacle of happiness along with her. The other characters in the story are also very well crafted and very enjoyable to watch and get to know. Despite the somewhat embarrassing main theme presented by the creators - this is a truly unique and special story. Definitely one of the best I've had the privilege to watch and thoroughly enjoy in the past few years. Recommended!
