Very good but won't copy everthing
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this solely to put all my very old home recorded VHS tapes onto a new format so I don't lose them over time. I think they have alreday lost some quality and it seems you shouldn't expect them to last more than ten years. For most of them this recorder does an excellent job, just a few setup buttons and you're away. For some I have problems it keeps stopping and saying they are copyright - of course they are not as they are home recordings and looking at the forums there doesn't seem to be a fix for that. It seems I may have to pay for those to be transferred. Overall a good product but just beware it won't do everything.
