5000 Watt Heavy Duty Voltage Regulator Converter Transformer Step Up/Down 5000W
28 April 2017
Fit the Bill!
I am an independent treadmill technician and work out of my home. I occasionally rebuild or refurbish a higher end treadmill. On this occasion I acquired a commercial treadmill that happened to be 220V with a 250V/15A plug. I needed to power it but did not have a 220V outlet. It was going to be too much of a job to wire one to my work area from my circuit panel. I thought to use my generator, but that was going to be noisy, only good for testing, and too problematic making up a power cord that would have the right plug on both ends. After calculating that I would need at least 2700 watts I purchased this 5000 watt heavy duty voltage regulator converter transformer for its step up feature. 3000 watts would have been cutting it too close. It worked perfectly! I was able to plug the 250V/15A plug right into the universal outlet. I was a little worried about kicking the circuit breaker while running the 220V treadmill because this breaker kicked every time I plugged in two small electric heaters on the same circuit. However it operates this 220V treadmill beautifully with no issues. Problem solved! I'm very happy.
