This is the real deal
This part will probably break on your car at sometime (I've ordered a spare). To replace it you have to pop out console lid insert (plastic pry tool) and punch out the retaining pin (with a nail set) for the latch and put it back together. If you have the tools 15 minutes tops. You can google for how-to videos online.
