Simple do it yourself fix.

$1400 for my mechanic to replace, got this and a hour later I'm up and running! Well built and American made. Watch a couple of youtubers and it's simple, straight forward to do.

It did not fit my David Brown 990.

The nut that attaches at the engine was too large for my 1966 David Brown 990. The cable is much lighter than the original cable. This probably would not affect the performance but I guess I will never know as the cable now just sits on the shelf.

Doesn't work well with standard 2 inch belt.

While it is possible I am not smart enough to figure it out, I don't think so. It comes with a snap type strap to somehow secure to a belt. It just doesn't fit a standard 2 inch belt. Also, the velcro cover to hold my Leatherman in place is VERY stout. If you only need to access your Leatherman once a week it just great. Me? That grabs for it several times a day it is a two handed hassle. It is well built just not handy. I will go back to the standard snap model.
