More run time.

Just what I wanted
1 of 1 found this helpful First the bad news, this product is now out of production(as of 2009) and the new version is according to reviews a poor replacement. I bought it to replace an earlier model and wanted higher quality recording for a larger 40 inch TV and HDMI DVD playback upscaling to replace and old DVD player. It is faster to start up and the quaility is excellant, play a DVD such as 'Ice Age' and feel the depth of the picture almost blue ray. The HQplus recoding level will only give you 30 hours recording, but if you have more than a days worth to watch- you need to organise your life! like me you may be able to pick one up on ebay,it is a well made Sony product. The instructions are very comprehensive and as a result lenghty, this has a vast range of features more than most people will need. To record, and play back will take you 5 minutes to workout, learn the rest as you need to.I would see no need to buy a Blue ray as I have a large collection of standard DVD's and this gives a great picture on a large HD TV. Buy one if you can

Excellant product
1 of 1 found this helpful I have used Hoya filters for over 25 years on all of my SLR lens, a premium brand I have now bought 4 of these HD filters following an online recommendation, these are all now on my Canon EOS M3 lens for protection. they are good quality as a product, good optically and ebay had the best prices . I would recommend them to protect your far more expensive lens.
