If you have a brain Rex Stout will make it work.
I have read Rex Stout's Nero Wolfe books for years. And like an old friend you never get tired of visiting them from time to time. It is the same with these videos. The quips of Archie, the character of Wolfe, and the casts of characters to warm your heart with their perplexity make you watch them over and over again just to make sure you didn't miss something. I love the sets that are used for the making of this series. You can tell that nothing was spared in making them true to the uniqueness of Stout's vision. Enjoy!

It is what it is. It is a spin on "A Christmas Carol." If you asked Charles Dickens what he thought about it, he would probably say it is better than some of the other attempts and yet falls short of the warm, magic feeling the Alastair Sim movie gives you. My collection of 45 versions of this fabled story includes such titles as "The Muppets Christmas Carol" which far outshines "A Carol Christmas" starring Tory Spelling or "All Dogs Christmas Carol which can't come close to the Mickey Mouse production. This past summer I tried to find the DVD's to replace many of our VHS's. I replaced "Ebenezer" in the VHS clamshell and presently I am awaiting the arrival of the DVD from the UK. So if you love cowboys and the old west, Jack Palance, who lived about 20 miles from me, in the coal region of Pennsylvania, did his usual excellent job of acting as the nasty Scrooge in "Ebenezer." Like I said, "it is what it is." Enjoy it for its camp style. And if you really love it you can view "An American Christmas Carol" starring Henry "the FONZ" Winkler as a miser during the dust bowl of the midwest. It never ends. After I finish this review I must order the newest DVD entitled Dr. Who's Christmas Carol which was released after Christmas. I don't know why, but that's cool. Can't wait to review that one. Maybe I can compare and contrast it to the "Chipmunks Christmas Carol." That should be a awesome read. stardustmoon65
