DSi - The Ugly Truth
1 of 10 found this helpful Nowadays, nearly every console that comes out is retooled and redone, and Nintendo is no exception. Sure, some of them are a masterpiece (GameBoySP) and others are pieces of cacapoopoopeepee (GameBoy Micro). Why should the DS be an exception? We got the original, not very bright and big as all hell. Nintendo went back and made it better. We got the Lite. Brighter, smaller, bigger screens, a win all-around! But Nintendo wasn't satisfied. They had to revisit it. They made it even smaller, with larger screens, a more powerful CPU, slapped on a pair of cameras, and gave us an SD slot for music and pictures. And, of course, much better WiFi capability. It's all great, I love all of these new improvements. But wait, something's missing. Where the hell is Slot-2? The fatal flaw. Not only has the DSi lost backward compatibility, but all those accessories? Worthless. If you liked Guitar Hero:On Tour, good luck playing that without a Guitar Grip. That is the only thing I hate about the DSi, and the sole reason gave it a 4/5. So if you've got a GH fetish or a stack of GBA games, you might want to hit up the Lite. Otherwise, take the upgrade or even the upgrade of the upgrade, the DSi XL.
