Missing essential features
This headlamp is lacking features that are standard on other similarly priced headlamps. There is no lock setting so you can't keep it from turning on in your backpack (This is a pretty simple, standard feature that should be included in a 50 dollar headlamp, my last headlamp from 9 years ago had this setting so it's nothing new or special). There's no dimming available and the red light is practically useless because there's one setting and it's insanely dim. I've always been a petzl guy but I have to say that you'd be better off buying a black diamond headlamp as it seems there quality has now surpassed petzl. Maybe pelzl is just trying to see how far they can coast off of the momentum they had from when they made quality, simple lights.

Makita top shelf
