AMD Barco MXRT-7500 GDDR5 4GB PCIe 3.0 Quad DP FirePro Graphics Video Card
    25 March 2021
Works Great! Driver conflict with non-Barco AMD cards though.
The MXRT-7500 was purchased to be used for additional displays on a gaming PC. For reference, this is a FirePro w7000 with custom BIOS, driver, and software used for medical imaging. Edit: The flash to a w7000 was successful and the card now plays nice with Radeon software. Pros: - This card does what it's supposed to. 4 DP outputs work with high-resolution displays. - Runs quiet. - Tested to work with PCIe3.0 x4 (x16 physical), x8, and x16. Cons: - Conflict with Radeon Adrenalin/Pro drivers and software (see detail below), was not tested against nVidia GPUs. - Unusually difficult to insert and remove from PCIe slot - seems to be a fitment issue on the locking tab. Other: - Requires signup with Barco for driver download. - Did not show in Device Manager when installed in a x1 slot (x16 physical), though this might have been a CPU PCIe lane shortage. Driver Conflicts: Barco installation package removes other AMD drivers/software (to prevent conflict) and also installs specialized framework tools for medical imaging. Win10 has no issues applying the basic adapter driver if the Barco GPU is the only GPU in the PC. If the Barco and a Radeon GPU are installed, Win10 applies the basic driver to the Radeon GPU fine, but throws a 'code 31' for the Barco GPU which fails to output to display. Barco GPU is not recognized by either Radeon Adrenalin/Pro installers or drivers. It is possible to have Radeon (for other GPUs) and Barco drivers installed if Barco drivers are manually installed through the Device Manager. When the Barco software was installed, it had no issues interacting with the Barco GPU. Unfortunately, when the Barco GPU is enabled, Radeon Software will not launch (with or without Barco software installed). Certain applications that interact with the Radeon driver will fail to see either GPU. The Radeon GPU functions and plays games just fine however. GPU-Z has no problem with either GPU or interacting with them. Disabling the Barco GPU in Device Manager will immediately allow Radeon software to launch and allow application driver-level interactions on the Radeon GPU. MSI Afterburner also won't see the Radeon GPU in this state. Manually installing both Barco and Radeon drivers (no software) still prevents Radeon GPU application driver-level interactions as before, so this appears to be a driver conflict issue. Barco seems aware of this issue as they mention inability to use Barco & non-Barco GPUs in a system. Either the Radeon driver soft-crashes as it tries to take control of the Barco GPU, or the Barco driver is written in such a way that it interferes with Radeon drivers. I've spent over 15 hours so far testing and researching solutions. The verdict is to either disable the Barco GPU (and some displays) when certain applications are needed, or flash the MXRT-7500 with a FirePro w7000 driver. Due to mismatches in the drivers however, this would require bios editing and is obviously not guaranteed to work. Some Redditors have had success flashing FirePro BIOS on other models of Barco GPU. Unless a MXRT-7500 is intended to be used as a solo GPU, in an existing Barco setup, or as a project, it would be best to stick to mainstream FirePro cards.
