A cheap but weak antenna

This antenna consists of a mostly empty plastic tube with a cheaply made small metal receiver component inside that takes up no more than a third of the space. How do we know this? Because the plastic cap on top came loose easily while we were testing it. So much for weather resistance. However, none of that would have mattered if it worked as an effective antenna. But the answer to that is - not really. We ran many tests comparing this antenna to the small standard ones built in to our mobile broadband modem/router. In terms of both the detected 4G/LTE signal strength and real-world download/upload speed - this antenna's performance was typically only around 80% of the standard one, and at best the same. We were hoping and honestly expecting for better performance - e.g. a 30% improvement. Nope.

Reasonable

A reasonable cheap fan heater with the basic standard safety features. Small and lightweight and easy to move around. Our unit unfortunately has some fan vibration which makes it noisier than it should be, especially when on a hard floor (it is very quiet in operation without that aspect). Hard to know if this is just our unit or a general quality issue though.
