Dead and Gone -soon to be over and out?
I really enjoy the Sookie Stackhouse series and Charlaine Harris' newest book, Dead and Gone, is terrific. I feel though, that she is nearing the end of this series. By the book's end, there didn't seem to be too many loose ends, although a few remained. Sookie has faced off against humans, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, and faeries - really, what's left? It would be interesting to read the next book and see what new foes exist to challenge her and friends. I will continue to read Charlaine Harris because she always comes through with an enjoyable and satisfying ride.

Great read
I was looking for a vampire book that my 11 yo daughter can read that had action, adventure, life lessons and a wholesome love story. Not such an easy find but Rachel Caine really delivers with Glass Houses and the subsequent books in the series and is a wonderful writer who appeals to a spectrum of age levels. I read the series first and then allowed my daughter to read Glass Houses. She loved the book and the main character Claire is good role model as she is highly intelligent, resilient, brave with a host of other good qualities.

Undead and Unworthy by Maryjanice Davidson
If you love Maryjanice Davidson and the Betsy, Queen of the Vampires series, you will enjoy this book. I love all the characters but was sad to see a couple of them killed off, but then again, that's what happens when you mix with vampires. Thought that Babyjon should have figured more prominently in the storyline but maybe that will happen in the next book. It was a fun read and I will always buy Ms. Davidson's books.
