One of the best NES sports titles
1 of 1 found this helpful Another classic Technos Japan title, Super Dodge Ball is a rare competitive NES game that balances simple controls with surprisingly deep gameplay. It's a fast-paced sports game that doesn't take itself too seriously, but also allows for skill and strategy to play a significant role. Solo tournament mode is excellent, with an AI that's just good enough to keep things challenging. PvP matches are a blast, and allow for each player to not only pick a team that favors their play style, but also allows them to assign specific characters to any position. (Each character has a unique special attack.) If you like to play NES games with friends, and enjoy well-made competitive games like Blades of Steel or Techmo Super Bowl, consider adding Super Dodge Ball to your collection.
