Excellent product at such a great price!...
Excellent product at such a great price!!! Brand new old stock for 75% off the retail? Yes please! Getting the $200 pair of riding jeans for under $50 is a win in my book, very happy!

That beautiful Borla sound!
The Borla S-type mufflers were just what I needed! Initially on my SS, back when the only other aftermarket item was an air intake, I had the Solo muffler delete setup, which sounded incredibly mean and I loved it! After the addition of some long tube headers and high flow catted x-pipe, it was quite louder but still a good sound. But once an aggressive cam and torque converter were added, that delete setup was just insanely too loud! Still had a very nice rumble at idle, but cold start was ridiculous and heavy on the gas was more loud than deep muscle. So I went to my stock mufflers...thinking maybe some back pressure and restriction would help. Although it toned it down, the 1750-2000 rpm range was beyond annoying inside. The mufflers had a drone, and an odd vibration and sound that at first made me think I had a tire rub (that’s the only way I can explain it). It seemed to get worse as the weeks went by.
So, options for JUST mufflers on the SS are limited. Figured I’d try to Borla...with a lot of research! They aren’t on the cheap side, and I wasn’t sure between Touring and S-type which to get. Finally pulled the trigger on these. Either way, with all of the upgrades so far, nothing is going to be much quieter, but also nothing as loud as the delete kit. Immediately after install I could tell a difference in driving. They’re still loud but a deeper and not so empty tone, and cold start is still something the neighbors probably despise at 5:30am. But they made the drive feel better. The acceleration felt much smoother and felt like I held more power throughout. No weird vibration inside in the normal rpm range I had. Now true, mufflers don’t exactly add so much power that you can feel an increase. I think with just how smoothed out they made things let it feel that way. A great balance between the more restrictive stock, and the completely wide open and no back pressure deletes.
My ONLY minor issue is that my driver side tips do extend slightly further out than the passenger side, which is only noticeable standing right in the center of the bumper and looking to both sides. 5 feet away? They appear perfectly centered. That part took some work and mid-pipe adjustments needed made on both sides to get clearance, as both tips wanted to touch the bumper when the bolts were tightened. It’s possible that maybe a pipe on my driver side mid pipe section is slightly back further which is why those tips are just a little back further, so I’m not knocking any stars off of the rating for that or blaming their build quality!

Just what was needed!
1 of 1 found this helpful Someone suggested LED bulbs in my 94 Mustang GT after I’d been complaining that I just could not see at night with these halogens. Part of the issue was also the previous owner putting aftermarket clear headlight assemblies in during his restoration, and I didn’t feel the reflection was adequate as it projected somewhat of a faint kaleidoscope/starry pattern.
After hours and hours of searching LED bulbs, came across the LASFIT and did some research, watched some user comparison videos on YouTube. So many styles, so many price variations. But reviews mostly seemed pretty positive, and the cost was right in the middle of other brands, so I figured I’d give them a shot.
Install was easy. Nice that the bulb itself rotated and came out of the base, allowing me to install the factory bulb retainer clip...because at first I sat there looking at the housing wondering how I was supposed to slip this clip over the fan!
As far as visibility, they were extremely better than the halogens, without a doubt. Light projected a lot further, and of course was bright white and not a pale yellowish tint. Pattern wasn’t perfect, but better than before. But again, I blame this on the aftermarket housings reflective abilities. The brights were clearly far superior. They aren’t going to be projector headlight quality, and I didn’t expect that at all. But for those of us with older style headlights, they’re a HUGE improvement. My father bought these as well to replace an HID kit that was in his 2008 SS Trailblazer, and the difference was quite noticeable to me after taking for a test drive. I wouldn’t say they were brighter than the HIDs were exactly, but the light did project further and visibility increased quite a bit (that had been a complaint of mine anytime I drove it at night down dark country roads).
I do plan to replace these headlight assemblies with a more reputable brand, and can only assume that will make these LED bulbs even better!
