Looks are deceiving
1 of 2 found this helpful This is just an "okay-not-great" coffee maker. First, that nifty stainless mug you see in the photo? You don't get one. Not included. Second, to make single-serving coffee, that wouldn't work anyway, as the K-cups say they are for 8 oz. cups and beyond that the coffee gets really wimpy. Third, if you are going to use ground coffee rather than the K-cup, there's still a limit as to how much you can get into the little basket without clogging it up. And the basket is hard to clean.
Good points? It brews quickly, using the carafe side is easy and the coffee is good. There is a timer, an automatic shut off, and you can take the carafe off the hotplate to pour a cup mid-brew.
This was going to be our primo coffee maker; now it's going into storage as a spare.
Meh.

It's a Casey thing
I'm biased. In a couple trips to Ireland and several to Irish pubs, when introduced as Steve Casey the response often was "You're nothin' to the wrestler, now, are ye?" So I learned a bit about this legendary sports family and had a reason to buy this book that may not pertain to most readers.
But it's a nicely done, well- and lovingly-researched book that reads well and does record the exploits of this amazing band of Irish brothers and their da, Big Mick.
I fear the book will not well survive a lot of use, as it's not the most securely bound. The old photos are fascinating, and I'm delighted this bit of important Irish and sports history was captured while there were still some of the characters in this story above ground and able to give first-person accounts.
