Works but some reservations. (read)
2 of 2 found this helpful I have coverted several of my movies to DVD already. That works great. However, you need the remote with this item. Without the remote, it just does not work. As it is, you are making your best tech guess. I had to buy a remote from another site, because it did not come with it. I overlooked that on the tradeport site. I had to buy one seperate from the internet. Tradeport wouldnt take it back. As for the item, Sony is always complicated but very good. This item works only with a input to the TV. I tried to get the item to change the channels like my last vcr, but it wouldnt. So that kinda defeated the porpose. I still have a very old TV. RCA. I also bought it without the instructions. Again not good. Sony is a very good product and that was why I bought it. The cost of the remote killed all the savings though. Generally satisfied.
