Why Spend More?
If it works; it works! This Teleconverter is a great alternative to the Nikon Brand. The Autofocus is reasonably quick and it's sharpness is SPOT ON! Paired with my Nikon 80-200mm AF-D two ring, it extends my reach up to (300mm FX) and (420mm DX)!!! The Extra reach especially on Cropped Sensor SLRS is a BEAUTY!!! It lets me get in there nice and tight without being intrusive to the subject in front. The Teleconverter is made from very strong metal and plastic materials. Don't bother getting the Tamron Version which is very similar but with more plastic. I must admit I was a skeptic to using third party brand Kenko at first, but after giving it a shot I was more than amazed. It truly worked well to my satisfaction and I can't wait to go out and use it again =]
