Nice. Works great. Tests all of my battery packs.
I wanted to test a number of external battery packs to see whether they were old and needed replacing. Three were of the USB type and a third a laptop battery pack running at 19V. Using a high power variable resistor load, and with only a few connections, I was able to check the watt hour, amp-hour, voltage, amps and total time. I just let it run until the battery packs shut off and the totals stay on the display. Holding the left button resets the values for the next measurement.
The only thing to note is that there are two red wires and two black wires, so you need to be careful to use the thin red and black wires as the power source to run the meter. The thicker red and black wires are used in the load connection and the yellow/orange wire is the sense. This information is specified in the accompanying instructions.
The display, although small is bright and easily readable. No need for a big display. This unit may not be appropriate to test lithium ion batteries since these batteries can be over-discharged resulting in damage to the battery. I wasn't looking to test bare lithium batteries so it was not an issue. There are other capacity meters that will stop the test when the voltage reaches a value, but more expensive. The power packs I was testing will shut off when the internal battery voltage is too low to prevent over-discharging.

Worked in my Magellan RM5295 GPS
My GPS stopped turning on because of a dead battery even when plugged in. I was unable to find a replacement battery for my GPS. My gps battery had an additional red and black wire to carry more current. Even though this battery was not specified for my model it has the same capacity, fits and works perfectly.
